  Verta Annie Bartels - Passed away on June 23, 2008 at Saint Luke's Place at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Laverne (1981), and loving mother of Bruce of Guelph, Don (Tita) of Milton, and Roy (Darlene) of Kitchener. Dear grandmother of Daniel, Leigh, and Andrea; predeceased by her two brothers. Also survived by her nieces and nephews. Verta's family will welcome friends at the Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. James Lutheran Church, 96 Queen Street, Cambridge on Friday morning at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at New Hope Cemetery.
