      Suddenly, at St. Mary's Hospital, on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1993.

      Wally was born January 26, 1912 in Town Wien. Wisconsin, U.S.A. He was employed at Uniroyal Goodrich for 19 years and acted as a public school crossing guard for eight years. He was also very active in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Queen Street. Wally loved the time he spent at Rockway Golf and Country Club.

      Lovingly remembered by his wife, Dorothy (Bauer) and his daughter, Shirley and her husband Homer Langford of Kitchener. Dearly missed by his brothers, Fred and his wife Vi of Ottawa, Elmer and his wife Hertha of Sudbury, Victor and his wife Bea of Ottawa and Lorenz and his wife Muriel of Cobourg. Survived by his sisters, Lucy and her husband Harold Brunke of Carleton Place and Frieda Brant of Kitchener. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

      Wally was predeceased by his parents: his brothers, Oscar. Gerald and Rev. Martin Shiemann and his sister, Nora Wentzlaff. Friends may call at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Queen Street, Kitchener on Saturday from 12 noon-2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the church at 2 p.m., Rev. Allan Sharlach officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
