Notes |
- At the time of his marriage Walter was a jockey living in Petrolia. In 1901 Walter was a machine hand in Woodstock, earning $325 for 11 months work. Walter enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force on 22 March 1916 at Ayr when he was 43. He was a carpenter living in Ayr. He was 5 ft 2 inches tall, with dark complexion, blue eyes and greying black hair.
