    • W. EARL GOWING
      W. Earl Gowing of Galt died at South Waterloo Hospital Nov. 14. He was 57.
      Born at Glen Allan, on June 17, 1910, he lived at Moorefield before moving to Galt 26 years ago.
      He owned and operated Gowing's auto body shop for many years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Galt Lodge and an adherent of Trinity Anglican Church.
      Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie Bridge, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gowing of Glen Allan; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Joan) Edgar of Galt, and Lois, at home; three sons Frederick and William, both at home, and Ray of Galt; three brothers, Clarence of Moorefield, Laverne of Preston, and Milton of Milton, two sisters, Mrs. Ted (Vera) Timers, Milton, and Mrs. Howard (Ethel) Lichty, Preston, and four grandchildren. One sister predeceased him.
      Service was held Nov. 17 with Rev. K.J. Conyard of Trinity Anglican Church Galt, officiating.
      Burial was in Mount View cemetery, Galt.
