Suddenly, at his residence, on Saturday, June 6, 1998, age 73 years, of Kitchener. Wilbert was a longtime member of St. Phillip's Lutheran Church, Kitchener, he was a veteran of the Second World War (Highland Light Infantry) and retired employee from the Region of Waterloo. Survived by his wife, Marjorie (Schnarr) Schmidt; daughter, Donna and her partner Michael Martin, all of Kitchener and son, Jamie and his friend Cristina and grandsons, Thomas and Mark, all of Sault Ste. Marie; sisters, Jean Molson of Ottawa and Doris Lippert of Kitchener. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Noah Schmidt and Anne Yundt. The family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, today (Tuesday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Phillip's Lutheran Church, 236 Woodhaven Rd.. Kitchener. on Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev. Helen Toman and Rev. Michael Mills officiating. Interment at Fairmount Cemetery, Baden.
