Notes |
- Serious Accident. - A serious accident happened last Saturday afternoon at the Elmira Foundry when Leonard, the 17-year-old son of P. F. Stumpf, had his left hand caught in a machine which severed the third finger finger and so badly cut the fourth that the doctor was forced to amputate it at the second joint. Several stitches were also required to dress the injury, and the lad is doing as well as can be expected.
