- William Hogg Patterson - William Hogg Patterson died last Wednesday evening from a heart attack at his farm just west of Ayr. He was in his 68th year. He was born on the farm where he died and had lived there all his life. His parents, the late John Patterson and Jane Hogg, were pioneers from Scotland. As a boy, Mr. Patterson attended Greenfield school. He made a specialty of dairy farming. Deceased was a member of Knox United Church and was highly esteemed as a neighbor and a friend. His wife predeceased him about eight years ago. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. George Easton, Ayr, and one son, Rev. John W. Patterson, Lachine, Quebec. Funeral service for the late William H. Patterson was held Saturday afternoon with service at his late home, west of Ayr, and interment in Ayr Cemetery. Rev, J. W. Currie of Knox United Church conducted the services, and the pallbearers were: George Smye, Sr., Thomas Robson, George A. Guthrie, Walter Barrie, Andrew E. Laurie and James Welsh.
