- In the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital, early on Wednesday morning, , in his 86th year. Husband of the late Matilda Munch, who predeceased him twenty years ago. He was a well known Doon resident for the past forty years. Ailing for some time, he had been confined to hospital, seriously ill, for the past two weeks. Born in Hamilton, he resided in that district the early part of his life, then in Puslinch Township and later in Doon. A farm labourer, he had lived retired for the past fifteen years. He was a Presbyterian by faith. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James Allen of Wilcox, SK; four sons, Thomas Lucas of Kitchener; John Lucas of Wilcox, SK; William Lucas in western Canada; Edward Lucas of Preston; and fifteen grandchildren. Predeceased by one daughter, Mrs. Harry Nahls, in 1944. Funeral on Fri. , Dec. 19 at 2 at the Stager-Pass Ltd. Funeral Home in Preston. Rev. H. G. Cleghorn officiated at the service. Pallbearers: John Gillow, John Sipes, Harry Nahls, Leonard Nahls, all of Blair; Nelson and Arthur Gillow of Preston. Interment Doon Cemetery.

‹den pum* on the well at the fron t o f the house. Mr. Lucas always kept a horse and the barnyard
from the garden with a picket fence. A fte r his death the house was taken down as i t needed too
man7 repairs.
