  William Waechter 17 NOVEMBER, 1933 \endash 4 JULY, 2013 Waechter: William L. At the Grand River Hospital, Freeport Health Care Centre on Thursday, July 04, 2013, after a brief illness, with his family by his side. William Louis Waechter, aged 79 years. Bill had been employed with J.M. Schneiders Ltd., for 24 years until his retirement in 1993 and was a member of the Kitchener, Royal Canadian Legion. Dear father to Tim and his spouse Tracy of Baden, David and his wife Beverly and Cathy and her husband Ron Hilt all of Kitchener, beloved Grandpa to Tamara, Kara, Miranda and her husband Craig Bothwell, Alannah, Darrell Hilt and his wife Jamie, Kailee and Brian and Great Grandpa to Aurora, brother to Helen Serran of Kitchener, brother-in-law to Margaret Campbell of Kitchener and dear friend to Lois Smith. Predeceased by his parents Fernando Waechter and Mary Stinson, his wife Virginia in 2001, his son Tony in 1994, one brother Bruce in infancy and one sister Elaine. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W. Kitchener on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 where the funeral service will be held on Monday in the chapel at 11:00 am with Father Peter Meyer officiating. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery and donations may be made to Grand River Regional Cancer Centre as expressions of sympathy through the funeral home. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. A special thank-you to the Health Care Professionals who looked after our father so well.
