  Sherk, William - Peacefully, after a brief battle with cancer, William (Bill) Sherk of Ayr, passed away, on Saturday, Oct. 18, 1997, at St. Mary's General Hospital, Kitchener, in his 63rd year. Bill is predeceased by his loved wife Joan in 1995. Beloved father of Donna and her husband Gregg Forte of Cambridge and loved Papa of Greg, Rose, Mamie, Sarah and Emily. Bill will be missed by his brothers, Raymond and his wife Joan, and Jim and his wife Gail, all of Ayr; sisters, Margaret Makins and her husband Bill of Bayfield, Liz Kostuik and her husband John of Baltimore and Esther Mitchell of Paris; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Sherk of Ayr. Bill is predeceased by his parents, Melvin and Bessie Sherk; brother, Douglas (1992); and infant brother, William. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 273 Northumberland Steet [sic], Ayr on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where a memorial service will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 1997 at 1 p.m. Rev. Fred Nagle officiating.
