Wm. ZICK , Brother of Town Clerk N. A. Zick, Was Well Known in Twin-Cities.
A former well known and highly esteemed citizen in the person of William Philip Zick passed away at Detroit on Monday evening in his 61st year. He had been in ill health for some months. His wife predeceased him four years. The funeral was held today (Thursday) from the residence, 13911 Steele St. The late William Zick was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Zick, of Kitchener, formerly of Waterloo. He was born and spent his early life in Waterloo and for many years was on the sales staff of the Bricker & Diebel dry goods store, at that time one of the largest stores in the Twin-Cities. Moving to Stratford thirty-five years ago, Mr. Zick conducted a retail business. He also was in business in Hamilton before movïng to Detroit where he spent some years, in the real estate business. Surviving are his parents, three sons and two grandsons, one sister, Bertha (Mrs. Emil 0. Ritz), Kitchener, three brothers, Edmund H. Zick, Buffalo, Homer Zick, of Dundas, and Norman A. Zick, town clerk and treasurer, Waterloo.
