- ABOU-NIMER, William (Bill-Willy) - Peacefully on Saturday, November 6, 1999 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Willy Abou-Nimer of Cambridge, formerly of Guelph and Kincardine, age 66 years. Willy was an employee of Lummus International for several years and was a member of the Plumbers & Steamfitters U.A. Local 527. He was a worldly traveller working in countries such as Saudi Arabia and Romania. Beloved husband of Nadia and loving father of John Nimer, Henry Nimer and his wife Yvette all of Guelph, Bernie Nimer and his fiancée Lisa Broad, and Evelyn Nimer all of Kitchener. Willy will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Nina, Laura & William. Dear brother of Peter, Victor, Edward, Rachel, Violet and Vivian and all their families. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial visitation at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, Wednesday, November 10, 1999 from 12: 30 p.m. until 2: 30 p.m. where a memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel with Father Daniel Hinsperger officiating. Reception to follow in the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation/Oncology Palliative Care Program and would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to express their warm thanks and appreciation to Dr. James Gowing, Dr. Nadia Califaretti, and the nurses of C.M.H. for their exceptional care and attention given to Willy during his illness.
