Notes |
- BAKER, Winnifred - Our dear Mother, during her fight with cancer, passed away peacefully at 5: 45 am, on Thursday, February 11, 1999 at home. She stayed long enough to prepare us for her parting and to fill us with her strength and courage. Her love for her family and friends has left us a wonderful legacy. Now reunited with her husband Harold. Always to be remembered with great love by her children, Ab Henshaw and wife Joan, Penny Lahey and husband Ed, George Baker and wife Jo-Anne, Gary Baker, Kirk Baker and wife Bev, all of her 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Ken Astins (Arlene), her sister Pearl Cottrell, her sister Joan Shutsa (John) and predeceased by her two brothers Harry and Tommy Astins. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A combined Legion and Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 13, 1999 at 11 am. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated in her memory. "You will be forever in our hearts Mom"
