  Obituary for Stanley Angus Blaskavitch Peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Parkwood Mennonite Home LTC at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Theresa Blaskavitch (nee Ditner) and predeceased by his first wife Vera Blaskavitch (nee Steffler) (1993). Dear father of Linda Ritz, Frances Dicks and David Blaskavitch and his wife Cathy. Cherished grandpa to Tyler, Dustin, Nigel, Devon, Madison and Kaitlyn. Dear brother of Joe Blaskavitch, Larry Blaskavitch and Marie Hartman. He will be fondly remembered by Theresa's children, Brenda and Karen and their families. Stan was a member of the IBEW Local 804, a long time member of the Knights of Columbus - Maryhill / Kitchener and a member of St. Agnes RC Parish. Stanley's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 2 - 5 p.m. and Monday, August 15, 2016 from 10 - 10:45 a.m. with the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Private cremation to take place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
