Notes - POLYAK, Helen April 15, 1924 - March 1, 2011 Today we lost a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Helen was a woman of strength with a great sense of humour. She survived the Hungarian Revolution and relocated to Canada where she made a home for her family. As many, she had struggles, but lived a wonderful, rich life full of love she gave and love given to her. We will all miss her very, very much but remain comforted in the fact that she has joined her husband and daughter. Survived by children Nora White (Randy), Les Polyak (Pat), Richard Noseworthy (son-in-law); grandchildren Yvette Simpson (fiancé John McCullough), Melissa MacKenzie (fiancé Jason O'Brien), Richard Noseworthy (Amber), Lora Price (Aaron), Angel Polyak and Stephen Polyak; great-grandchildren Caylea Simpson, Megan Simpson, Calvin Price, Ryan Price, Kaitlyn Appleton, Austin O'Brien, Jordon Noseworthy, Piper Noseworthy, Also survived by a sister Julianna Aranyos in Hungary. Predeceased by her husband Lazslo Polyak (1995), daughter Ida Noseworthy (2005), brother Deszo Bogati and sisters Maria Gulyas and Ida Kovacs. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care), Canadian Cancer Society, Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Coutts Funeral Home (621-1650).
