Passed away, peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, August 24, 2007, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Walter. Loving mother of Veronica Strohmeyer of Richmond Hill. Dear grandmother of Christopher Suddes, also survived by step-son, Stanley Allen and wife Cindy of California, sister-in-law of Annemarie Dembinsky of Hamburg, Germany and nieces and nephews in Germany. Maria was predeceased by her parents, Otto and Bernadette Dembinski, five brothers and two sisters. Maria was born in Hamm, Germany on March 24, 1925 and has resided in the Cambridge area since 1965 and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 126. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, from 12: 30 p.m. followed by a funeral service, at 1: 30 p.m. Cremation to follow.
