- ELMER DOMMAN 1921 - 2007 Passed away peacefully, at Forest Heights Long Term Care Centre on Friday, January 18, 2008 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of 60 years to Eleanor. Loving father of Richard of Grand Bend and Donna (Norman Vanderburgh predeceased October 2000) of Waterloo. Cherished Papa to Elizabeth and Catherine Vanderburgh. Elmer is also survived by his brother, Wilbert Domman of Toronto and sister, Eileen Forestall of Hamilton and was also predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy and Violet. Elmer served in the Second World War from 1943 to 1945 with the R.C.R.'s and is a member of the Waterloo Legion Branch No. 530. He was employed with B.F. Goodrich for 37 years. Elmer was very active in St. Stephen Lutheran Church where he enjoyed many social activities. Friends are invited to share their memories of Elmer with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home , 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Sunday, January 20, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 248 Highland Road East, Kitchener on Monday, January 21, 2008 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Shafer officiating. Interment will follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Condolences for the family and donations to the Building Fund of St. Stephen Lutheran Church may be arranged through the funeral home, 519-745-8445 or www.erbgood.com. In living memory of Elmer, a tree will be planted through the Trees for Learning program by the funeral home.
