- GUILLE, Peter Thomas
Of Middle Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, May 23, 1996, after a lengthy illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 78th year. Beloved husband, for 57 years, of Blanche Burrell. Dear father of Blanche Anderson and her husband Bob of Hamilton, Peter and his wife Sandra of Cambridge, Margaret Pauley and her husband Dick of Cambridge and Agnes Whitehouse and her husband Alan of Hamilton. Lovingly remembered by 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also survived by two sisters, Lillian Potentier of Cambridge and Evelyn (Toots) Cranney of Owen Sound. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Florence Guille; one brother, Fred and one sister, Mutilda. Mr. Guille was born in Sark Channel Island and had been a lifelong resident of Cambridge. He was employed as a heavy machine operator for 38 years with the City of Cambridge until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of St. Clements RC Church, The Royal Canadian Legion Preston Branch 126 and the Preston Knights of Columbus. He was also a Veteran of the Second World War serving overseas with the Canadian Army. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, May 27, 1996, at St. Clements RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.
