    • ADAMSON, Mary Ann (Haggie)

      In her 97th year. Born in Dundee, Scotland in 1909. When she was 1 year old, she was brought to Canada by her parents, Jessie Anderson and George Heggie Sr. Mary was always proud of her Scottish heritage. Predeceased by her husband, John Adamson in 1994 and by her brother, George Heggie and her sisters, Jessie Ford and Ella Lawrence. Survived by one brother, David Heggie and sister-in-law, Evelyn. Heggie. Mary passed from this life at Golden Years Nursing Home, on January 21, 2006, surrounded by her family:daughter, Elinor and her husband Joe Hogan; grandchildren, Michael and Joey Hogan, Cathy Hogan Monroe, Brenda Reis and her husbsnd Paul; great-grandchildren, Melanie and Jennifer and their mother Ann Hogan, Matthew Jason, Cynthia and Andrew Reis and Scott and Ryan Hogan Munroe.At Mary's request cremation and a private family celebration of her life has already taken place. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society as expressions of sympathy would be greatly appreciated. Mary was a member of Trinity Anglican Church, the Westminster Group and an avid member of Seniors Day Out at St Luke's Place. She was always proud of her many nieces and nephews from both the Heggie and Adamson families for all of their accomplishments. Mary was greatly loved and respected by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her special great-great-grandson, Braiden DaSilva. Other family members are daughter, Ruth and her husband Chuck Clare and their children Peter, John and Nancy Hopf. Many thanks to the incredible staff at Golden Years Nursing Home and to Raquel, deacon of Trinity Anglican Church for.her prayers and blessings to the family and to Father Arthur Brewer for final anointing which meant everything to. Mary and her, family. Thanks to Paramed for years of service and caring and especially to Laurie Borell for over three years of dedicated caring service. Thanks also to Corbett Funeral Home for their understanding and assistance during this emotional time.
