- HUSZAR, Vincent - Suddenly, at home in his sleep, on Wednesday September 24, 2008, of Ayr, in his 82nd year. Vince was born and raised in Hungary, he was a POW in France during the Second World War at the age of 17, he and his wife moved to Germany in 1956 as a result of the Hungarian Revolution. They immigrated to Canada in 1966 to Sault Ste Marie, eventually settling in the KW area. Beloved husband to Maria; loved dad to Mary Sinkovits (Alexander) of Ayr and Zoltan (Agnes) of Montreal; cherished 'pop' to Nathlie, Andy, Mike, Robert, Tanya, and Sylvia and one great-grandson Jakob. Survived by a sister in Hungary. Friends may call at the AYR CHAPEL, Wm, Kipp Funeral Home, 183 Northumberland St. Ayr, on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.. Parish prayers will be recited from the funeral home on Sunday at 8 p.m. Morning prayers will be offered from the funeral home on Monday at 10: 40 a.m. followed by transfer to St. Brigid's Mission RC Church (50 Manley St. Ayr) for funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Father Wayne Lobsinger celebrant.
