Garo is now resting peacefully, with Almighty. Garo leaves his beloved wife of 47 years, Prapion. Sons; Toros, Rafi, Sebouh and daughter Nina. Eight grandchildren, Grace, Aleena, Ameela, Anoushig, Arevig, Jean-Piere, Jean-Claude and Mireille. Being the first generation of the Armenian genocide survivors, he was born in Lebanon, Pioneers of the town of Amanos. From early childhood he dedicated his life to his family and community. After graduating elementary school, circumstances directed him to the shoe making profession. He was always honest, loyal and honourable. His fierce determination of give and ask for nothing, remains inspiration to all. He always fought for the less fortunate. He immigrated to Toronto Canada, in 1982 and relocated to Cambridge, Ontario, in 2000. He has visited the Motherland and various countries, including the American cruise in January, 2008. Garo loved the nature, fishing, hunting and his birds. The singing of his birds and the voices of his grandchildren, was the most joyous thing in his life. The most important lesson in his life was the LOVE of his FAMILY. He will be greatly missed. Celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, April 22nd at 11: 00 a.m., at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener On., followed by funeral service at Parklawn Cemetery, 750 Fountain Street North Cambridge On., at 12: 30 p.m. Following the cemetery lunch will be served at Armenian Community Center at 15 International Village Cambridge.
