  LAYH, Jakob Peacefully, at St. Mary’s Hospital, on Thursday, July 4, 1996, Jakob Layh, in his 74 year. Beloved husband of Julianna (Bartolf). Dear father of Rudolf and his wife Jocelyn of Glen Morris and Elisabeth and her husband Cal Coburn of Puslinch. Cherished grandfather of Karoline, Erika, Allan and John. Dear brother of Maria Fruth Germany and of Ottie Arndt and her husband Eric of Brantford. Also survived by his father-in-law, Michael Bartolf and by his sister-in-law, Tile Beck both of Kitchener and by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his 5 brothers; Ernst, Phillip, August, Christof and Karl and by his sister; Margaret. Mr. Layh was a former employee of Sheldon Engineering Ltd. and was a former councilman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Cambridge. Friends will be received at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, on Saturday (today), form 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church,. Cambridge, on Sunday, July 7, 1996, at 2 p.m. Rev. Andrew Paulsen officiating. Interment, Mount View Cemetery. Cambridge Reporter 1996
