  McCUISH, Donald John - Peacefully, after a brief illness, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Monday, June 15, 2009, at the age of 85 years. Beloved husband of Margaret for 58 years. Loving father of Dan and his wife Carol of Meaford, and John of Kitchener. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren, Greg, Andrew and Scott, and by step-grandson, Jeremy. Predeceased by his parents and by sisters, Margaret Kavanaugh, Nellie Matthews and Bessie Barlow. Mr. McCuish served in the Second World War with the Merchant Navy; an honorary member of Bridgeport Rod and Gun Club; an active conservationist; and a longtime Legion member Branch No. 530 Waterloo. The family will receive friends at St. Philip's Lutheran Church, 236 Woodhaven Road, Kitchener on Thursday from 10-10: 30 a.m. with Memorial Service to follow at church on Thursday at 10: 30 a.m. Reception to follow at the church hall. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Kitzul for his care over the years, and also extend their thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at St. Mary's Hospital for the care and compassion shown for Donald. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Federation of Anglers and Hunters for the Wildlife Fund or St. Philip's Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
