- GORDIER, ELIZABETH (Nee Rae)
In St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton, on Monday afternoon, August 8, 1942, of R. R. #2, St. George, in her 69th year. Mrs. Gordier was born at Woolcott, NY and came to Canada with her parents sixty-five years ago. She and her husband farmed for several years on the 8th concession of Beverly and moved to their present address six years ago. She was a member of the United Church. Surviving are her husband, three daughters and eight sons, Mrs. William Miers of Hamilton; Mrs. John Brethauer of the Galt-Hamilton highway; Mrs. Hugh Frew of Preston; Perry Gordier of Port Huron; Fred of Detroit; Milton of Preston; Leonard and Roy of Galt; Lewis of Detroit; Gordon of Dundas; Russell of Guelph; twenty-eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Service at the Harold Gray Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrew's St. in Galt, on Thursday at 2. Interment Preston Cemetery.
