- Thomas Henry Simlett of Kitchener, died March 17 at the Coutts Pavilion, Freeport, after a lengthy illness. He was 64.
Born in Aberdare, Wales, on June 27, 1903, he had been a resident of Kitchener for three years.
Mr. Simlett was formerly employed as a guard by St. Mary's Hospital, Marsland engineering, and Nangahuck Chemicals of Elmira.
He was affiliated with Trinity United Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife, the former Helen Grover of Toronto, are two sons, Frederick, of Kingston, N.S., and John of Toronto; one daughter, Mrs. w. R. (Bronwyn) Dunlop, of Kingston; four brothers, Gwilym, Emlyn, Trevor, and Owen, all of Wales; one sister, Mrs. Gwen Parfitt, of Wales; and two grandchildren.
The body was at the Keffer Funeral Home, Kitchener from where the funeral service was held on March 19.
Burial was in Woodland Cemetery.

EARL, Helen Elizabeth
Passed away at Fairmount Home on Thursday, June 23rd, 2005, age 93. Much loved mother of Fredrick Simlett (Joyce), Dartmouth, N.S., Bronwen Dunlop (Bill), Kingston and John Simlett of Northport. Grandmother of Robert, Marla, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Christine and Tracy and great grandmother of Matthew, Emily, Aiden and Tate. Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy) on Friday between the hours of 4 to 8 p.m. In accordance with Helen's wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. Interment will take place in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations for those who wish to Fairmount Home Building Fund would be appreciated by the family. (Donations by cheque, please).
