  Anna arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia on April 25, 1914 on the ship "Bulgaria" She was 20 years old and single. __________________ Mrs. Harry Ballak, 70, of 532 Duke St. W., died Friday at K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness. The former Anna Szwaluk[?], she was born in Austria Nov. 6, 1894[?], and had resided in Kitchener for the past 44 years. She is survived by her husband, Harry Ballak, whom she married Nov. 24, 1914, in Winnipeg; a son, Peter of Waterloo; three daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Tillger of Hamilton, Mrs. Kenneth (Nettie) Porter of Galt and Mrs. William (Nell) Plomske of Kitchener; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons in infancy. The body will be at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home after noon Sunday. The service will be conducted at the funeral home at 3: 30 p.m. Monday by Rev. J.H.
