- Alfred Turner Mrs. Alfred Turner, 68, 24 Austin Drive, Waterloo, died Wednesday at her home. The former Bertha Whiteside, she was born Dec. 26, 1896, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Whiteside. She lived in the Kitchener area for 41 years, serving as a registered nurse after her graduation from Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton, in She was an member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario and several other nursing organizations. She attended St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and was also a past member of the Queen Anne chapter of the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire and the Kiwaniqueens. After her husband's death in 1943, she did private nursing.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Robert of Dearborn, Mich., and Dr. Franklin of Pasadena, Calif., two daughters, Mrs. John (Eileen) Allan of Kitchener and Mrs. Albert (Yvonne) Weber of Malibu, Calif., three brothers, Richard and Baden, both of Penhold, Alta., and Stanley of Calgary; one sister, Alice Walker of San Diego, Calif., and eight grandchildren.
Besides her husband, Dr. Alfred Turner, she was predeceased by one brother and two sisters. The body is at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home where the funeral will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by Very Rev.
F. G. Stewart. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery. |.
