    • Adam A. Doering - Mr. Adam Doering, an employee at Mr. J. J. Berger's planing mill, had the misfortune to break his leg on Monday while helping to roll logs on to the carriage at the saw mill. He had hold of the lever when in some unaccountable manner his clothing became entangled in the chain and his leg was drawn in and badly crushed and fractured above the ankle.

      Died - Mr. Adam Doering, son of Mr. Adam Doering, of near Philipsburg, who had the misfortune to break his leg at Mr. Berger's planing mill about a week ago, passed away early yesterday morning at the home of Mr. Berger, where he had been since the accident. His remains were taken to his father's home. He was 22 years of age.

      The Late Adam Doering

      The funeral of the late Adam A. Doering, who died last Wednesday night at New Hamburg, took place on Saturday afternoon from the residence of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Doering, to the Philipsburg church, interment following in the adjoining cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Ziegler.

      The deceased was 22 years, 5 months and 20 days of age. He is survived by his parents, four brothers and three sisters, namely: Mrs. Jack Frank and Mrs. Frank Rabethge, of Kitchener, Eugenia, Reinhardt, Austin, Gordon and Howard at home, and a host of friends.

      The pall bearers were Messrs. Oscar Hackbart. Webbourne Heldman, Andrew Lantz. Clayton Mohr, Laurence and Clayton Berger, the former four being soldier friends. The floral tributes were: A wreath from the family; Mrs. and Mrs. J.J. Berger and employees, a wreath; Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Rabethge, of Kitchener, an anchor; Mr. and Mrs. Russel Heipel. of Wellesley, a spray; Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hamel, of Bridgeport, a spray.

      A precious one from us is gone,

      A voice we loved is stilled,

      A place is vacant in our home,

      Which never can be filled.
