- ORTON - Alfred Thomas (Boze) of Barnicke Drive, Cambridge at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Thursday, October 24th, 1991 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Wilders) Orton and dear father of Alfred and his wife Carol of Brampton, Joan (Mrs. Tom Watkins), Lynn (Mrs. Maurice Fretz) and Heather (Mrs. Edward Fontes), all of Cambridge. Also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by a sister Edith and brothers Charles and Edward. Mr. Orton was retired from Canada Machinery Corporation and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #121, the Navy Vets and the War Amputations Association. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held from the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge on Saturday, October 26th, 1991 at 1: 30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy donation to Medical Day Care of Cambridge Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Grace Russ Scrapbooks vol.2 included in awards that were received by several member of the RCN for 'good service'; mentioned in the dispatches; son of Charles Orton Senior of Chapman Street; enlisted November 11, 1940; previously a member of HLI of C; served in various parts of the world; particular action for receiving award is unknown; worked as a machine fitter in Brantford at Williams Tool Corporation; he enlisted at Brantford; brother Edward was with the HLI of C on the Western Front; served on a ship out of Esquimalt, B.C.; born and schooled in Galt at Central and GCI Obituary D.O.D.: October 24, 1991- 70th year; resided on Barnicke Drive; husband of Dorothy (Wilders); father of Alfred and wife Carol of Brampton, Joan and husband Tom Watkins, Lynn and husband Maurice Fretz and Heather and husband Edward Fontes all of Cambridge; survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; predeceased by sister Edith and brothers Charles and Edward; retired from Canada Machinery Corporation; member of the Royal Canadian Legion - Galt Branch #121; member of the Navy Vets and the War Amputations Association
