Notes |
- CLOSS, Annie Elizabeth (Bess) Thompson
It is with a wonderful sense of peace, that Bess passed away on Monday, December 12th. Predeceased by her husband Jack and her son Bob, Bess was a long time resident of Galt, Cambridge and was in her 97th year. Bess will be remembered fondly by her daughter, Michelle Wood and her husband, Laurence of Washago, daughter-in-law, Grace Leipscher and husband Rainer of Cambridge, grandchildren, Christal, (Thomas), Mary Ellen, (Rob), Phillip, Jordan (Erin) and Reuben and great-grandchildren, Luisa, Sophia and Owen. Survived by her twin sister, Florence Dadson and family and sister Pauline Eames of St. Thomas. Much appreciation to Derbecker`s Heritage House staff for their compassion and care and to dear friends, Eleanor and Cecil Wright. Bess served faithfully at First Baptist and Lincoln Avenue United Churches. Bess shared kindness and love with all those whose path she crossed. She used her determination and strong work ethic to accomplish much in her life and taught these values to her children and grandchildren, who were the delight of her life. Bess` life was enriched by the love of her family, her friends and her faith. We think she would agree, she was Blessed Bess. Celebration of Life Service to be held at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia, Friday, December 16 ,2011, at 1:00 p.m., with visitation for an hour before the service. Interment at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge, on December 17, 2011.
