      Of 2969 Kingsway Drive, Kitchener, Wednesday, March 6, 1985, at St. Mary's Hospital, in his 65th year. Beloved husband of Jennette Benson; dear father of John Taylor of Kitchener, Sandra (Mrs. Eric Faesster) of New Hamburg, Debra (Mrs. Wayne Dwyer) of Cambridge, Wendy (Mrs. Robert Reycraft) of Kitchener. Also survived by two brothers, Thomas and Malcolm of Tennessee and nine grandchildren. Mr. Ownby was born in Nashville, Tenn. and was a resident of Cambridge for 20 years; retired from Genesco Canada Inc.; a member of Christ The King United Church, Kitchener and the Preston Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126, Cambridge. A veteran of the Second World War. Family will receive friends at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Thursday, 7-9 p.m. Funeral service at the funeral home, Friday, at 1 p.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
