  David Huber, "was born December 19th, 1852. He is married to Hannah Detweiler and resides in Berlin. He is an artist and photographer and has his place of business in the town of Waterloo where he is doing quite a large and well paying business" Eby, Ezra E. (1895). A biographical history of Waterloo township and other townships of the county: being a history of the early settlers and their descendants, mostly all of Pennsylvania Dutch origin: as also much other unpublished historical information chiefly of a local character. Berlin [Kitchener, Ont.]: [s.n.]. ________________ D. S. HUBER. Mr. D. S. Huber, artistic photographer, has won for his studio an enviable reputation since establishing here some vears ago. To speak of this studio as its merits deserve would indeed be most, complimentary to Mr. Huber's ability as a photographer. The studio is very inviting in appearance, rendered attractive by a beautiful display of photographic art which is pleasing to look upon. The studio is equipped with all the latest appliances, fine scenery, etc., and all classes of work is turned out, from a cabinet to the most elegant life size portrait To see the display of photographic art here is to appreciate it. Waterloo County Chronicle 8 Nov 1894, p. 1 ________________ David S. Huber After a lingering illness David S. Huber died at his home, Queen St. N., Kitchener, last Tuesday. Deceased was celebrating his 81st birthday and was born in Blenheim Tp., and was a resident of Kitchener for over 50 years. There survive his wife, one son and two daughters, H. D. Huber, Kitchener, Miss Alberta Huber, Kitchener, and Mrs. Julia Cunningham in Mannville, Alta. One daughter, Miss Idessa, died eight years ago. Three sisters, Mrs. Fred Dedels, Kitchener, Mrs. S. Ferguson, Didsbury, Alta., and Miss Louisa Huber, Kitchener, and four grandchildren also survive. The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the home thence to the East end Mennonite Cemetery for interment. Waterloo Chronicle 28 Dec 1933, p. 3
