  Mrs. Philip McLorn Ayr artist Devona McLorn whose work was well-known locally and internationally, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital. Kitchener on Sunday, June 27th. 1993. She was in her 63rd year. Born in Woodstock. she was a daughter of the late Lionel Paquette and Kathleen McCarthy. For the past 30 years following graduation from Ontario college of Art in Toronto, she had taught both out of her studio and at art schools. She was renowned for her water-colours, painted under her maiden name Devona Paquette. her love of people and life. A popular yearly event, attended by many, was the annual open house she and her husband Philip hosted at their gallery at 10 Water Street Ayr. She supported numerous community and charitable organizations through art donations. Devona was a recent recipient of the K-W Oktoberfest woman of the year award in the culture category. Dearest wife of Philip McLorn. Loving mother of Michelle TrendelI and her husband Craig Trendell of Ayr. Mary McLorn Valle and her husband Tony Valle of Regina and Dan McLorn or Ayr. Mrs McLorn will he sadly missed by her grandchildren Sean and Megan Trendell. She is also survived by one sister Dollene Paquette of' Woodstock. Rested at Westmount Funeral Home. Kitchener. where prayers will be offered today (Wed.) at 1230 p.m. Funeral mass will follow at 1: 00 p.m. at Sacrament R. C. Church. 305 Laurentian Drive, Kitchener Interment Ayr Cemetery.
