    • EDMUND SHANTZ

      Edmund Shantz, 66, died at his residence, Waterloo following a short illness. A native of Bloomingdale, he was a son of the late Noah Shantz and. Rachel C. Shantz, stable foreman at Silverwood's Dairy. Mr. Shantz made his home in Kitchener for the past 40 years. He attended the Evangelical church. He was an enthusiastic curler and bowler. His wife, formerly Mary Etta Gimbel, died 11 years ago.

      Surviving are two sons, Lorne, at home and Pte. Walter, overseas with the No. 1 C.O.R.U.; four daughters, Mrs. Fred Meyer and Mrs. Albert Schmidt, Waterloo, Mrs. Edward Cole, Capdela-Madleine, Que., and Mrs. Edward Arris, Vancouver; also three brothers, Elah, Didsbury, Alberta, Dan, Elmira and Maurice, Calgary, and nine grandchildren.
