    • WIDEMAN, Emmanuel (Shorty) - Passed away, peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, December 22, 2003 at his residence, Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo, age 89 years. A retired 31 year employee of Sunarhauserman; member of First United Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 530. He served overseas during the Second World War with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders. Loving husband of Alice Martha Wideman (nee Sainsbury). Dear Father of Nancy Bignell and her husband Bill of Kitchener and Barry Wideman of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Grandfather of William Ryan and Christopher Alan. Predeceased by his parents, Lydia and Noah Wideman; daughter-in-law, Peggy (June 22, 2003); sister, Hettie and brothers, Aaron, George, Henry and Seranus. Mr. Wideman's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Saturday, December 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, December 28 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Rick Hawley officiating. Following the service, friends are invited to the Reception Room of the funeral home for refreshments. Interment will take place Monday in Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Donations to the CNIB, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or Parkwood Mennonite Home, would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy and can be arranged through the funeral home at 745-8445 or www.edwardrgood.com

      WIDEMAN, Emmanuel - Passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, December 22, 2003, at his residence, Parkwood Mennonite Home in Waterloo, age 89 years. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced in Friday's edition of the Record or may be obtained by calling the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo 745-8445.
