  NEEB, Frances Frances Doris Neeb, 97, of Tavistock passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Born May 8, 1919 in Waterloo, a daughter of John and Henrietta (Henkell) Merklinger. She lived all of her adult life in Tavistock. On October 18, 1939 she married Clarence Neeb who predeceased her in 2000. Frances and Clarence operated Neeb's Shoe Store in Tavistock. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter Beverly Neeb of Tavistock, sisters-in-law Verda Merklinger and Geoline Merklinger, a number of nieces, nephews and their families and her caregiver, Mary Ann Krantz. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in Grace United Church, Tavistock on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mary Stewart will officiate. Interment in Grace United Cemetery, Tavistock. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Huron-Perth VON Adult Day Program or Grace United Church Living Legacy Fund would be appreciated and may be made through the Francis Funeral Home by calling 519-655-2431.
