  PHELAN, Frances Valerie At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, after a courageous and dignified battle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Frank Phelan Sr. (1994). Loving mother of Frank Phelan and his wife Sherri of Kitchener, Jim and his wife Kate of Calgary, Alta. Predeceased by loving daughter, Valerie (1950). Dear grandmother to Kaitlin and Jaimie of Kitchener, Ryan and Lisa of Calgary. Also survived by her sisters, Mary Cressman of Stratford, Helen Kuntz and her husband Ed of Waterloo, Eileen McManus and her husband Charlie of Elora, Margaret Weaver of Kitchener. Predeceased by brother, Jim Herman of La Passe. She will also be sadly missed by her many card playing friends, with whom she shared treasured, fun filled memories. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Sunday, Nov. 8, 1998, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Frances’s life, will take place with her Funeral Mass to be conducted at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St..
