  LICHTY, Gordon Martin - Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2008, at Royal Terrace Nursing Home, Palmerston, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Verda (nee Cressman) (2001). Dear father of Roger Lichty and his wife Phyllis of Clifford, Ron Lichty and his wife Pat of B.C. and Dale Lichty of Florida. Lovingly remembered by five grandchildren, Heather, Ginny, Brina, Shannon, and Daniel. Survived by one sister, Verna Steckley of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Irvin and Hannah Lichty and two brothers. Mr. Lichty was born in Waterloo County, lived in Alberta and British Columbia for several years, returned to Ontario and wintered in Florida with his wife. He was a retired multi-trades person. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at Wanner Mennonite Church, 1705 Beaverdale Road, Cambridge, on Friday, December 5, 2008, at 1: 30 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
