- Gordon W. Bingeman, 79, of RR 1, Waterloo, died today at the K-W Hospital after a brief illness. He was born July 8, 1885, in Bloomingdale, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jonas B. Bingeman. He had farmed in Lexington for the past 28 years and developed Bingeman Acres subdivision at the site. Prior to this he had lived in South River and Bloomingdale. He was a life-long member of Bloomingdale United Church.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Dena Dickson, whom he married in 1919 in Wingham; two sons, J. Byron of Richmond, Va., and Gordon A., of Waterloo; one daughter, Mrs. Russell (Beth) Tousaw of Galt; one sister, Mrs. Irvin K. (Irene) Weber of Kitchener, and 10 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sons in infancy, a sister, Alice, in 1958, and a brother Marshall, in 1965.
The body rested at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until 11 am Monday when removal was made to Bloomingdale United Church for the funeral at 3 pm. Rev. C. L. Lewis officiated. Burial was in Bloomingdale cemetery. Donations to the building fund of the Bloomingdale United Church and the Ontario Heart Foundation will be accepted as expressions of sympathy.
