  BARTHOLOMEW, Harold Wm (Bart) Of Westmount Long Term Care Residence, Kitchener, on Sunday, July 19, 2009, in his 98th year. Predeceased by his wife, Doris (nee) Scherer. Lovingly remembered by his children, Delores and Wayne Thaler, Shirley and Bob Nanson, Bill and Shirley Bartholomew, and Jack and Jean Bartholomew. Dear brother-in-law of Franklyn Scherer, Alma Scherer and Joyce Bartholomew. Dearly loved by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, John and Alberta Bartholomew; sister, Maguerite Henderson and brother, Howard. Also predeceased by granddaughter, Brenda Bartholomew and great-great-granddaughter, Andrea Wallbank. Harold was a lifelong resident of the Cambridge area. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, life member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 126 of Preston and an avid sports enthusiast. Many thanks to the staff at Westmount. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Tuesday, July 21, 2009, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at 2: 30 p.m., from St. Peter's Lutheran Church (810 King St. E., Cambridge) with Pastor Heidi Wachowiak officiating.
