      Prestonite Discovered With Razor in Hand

      PRESTON, April 16— Clutching a straight razor in his right hand and his throat cut from ear to ear, the body of Henry Sager, 78, life-long resident of Preston, was found lying against the fence on the Speedsville road near the R.C. Cemetery, early Friday morning by George Schmidt, of Preston. High County Constable Albert Whitesides responded to the call for aid. It Is believed the man died about 11 p.m., Thursday night. Police are unable to ascertain a motive for the attack. Reported in a despondent mood for some time, deceased is not believed to have been troubled with financial worries. He is reported to have invested considerable money in governinent annuities which are not payable to his family. No inquest will be held. Sager, who resided with his sister at 325 Laurel street, was an iron moulder by trade. For some years he was employed by Clare Bros. Later he acted as caretaker for Riverside and Central Parks as well as the Preston Cemetery. In his 79th year, he lived in Preston all his life with the exception of two years spent in Hamilton. His wife predeceased him 20 years ago. He was of Lutheran faith. Surviving are one brother, Charles of London, Ont., two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Koehn of Preston and Miss Emma Sager of Preston. Funeral services will be private on Monday from the late residence. 325 Laurel street, at 2.30 o'clock to Preston Cemetery for interment.
