      Mrs. Lawrence Beitz, 62, of RR 1, West Montrose, died Thursday, November 26, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Guelph. The former Irene Francis Kurtz, she was born April 24, 1897, in the Maryhill district, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kurtz.

      Mrs. Beitz was a member of St. Boniface RC Church, Maryhill, and the Catholic Women's League and the Christian Mothers Association.

      Surviving, besides her husband, are two sons, Lloyd of Windsor and Lawrence, Jr., of St. Thomas; three daughters, Miss Geraldine Beitz of London, Ont., and Miss Sheilla Beitz and Mrs. Arnold (Norma) Kuch, both of Kitchener; five brothers, Michael of Maryhill, Paul of Kitchener, Peter of Waterloo, Joseph of Galt and Albert of Ariss; and three sisters, Mrs. Josephine McLelland of Kitchener, Mrs. Pauline Sloan of Guelph and Mrs. Katherine Schell Edmonton.

      The body was at the Gilbert Maclntyre Funeral Home, Guelph, where prayers were said Saturday at 9 a.m. Requiem high mass followed at 10 o'clock at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, with burial in St. Boniface Cemetery.
