    • Miss Jean Clarke - The death occurred in Brantford Hospital on Monday morning of Jean Gordon, widow of the late Charles Clarke, after a short illness. Mrs. Clarke was born in Ayr and had lived here for the better part of her life where she had many warm friends. Since the death of her husband, she had resided with her sister, Mrs. C. McCormack, Brantford. The funeral took place to Ayr Cemetery yesterday afternoon.
