  LINDSAY, Laura Irene "LAURENE" (nee Cronin) Passed away at her residence where she has lived for over the past ten years, at Stirling Heights, Cambridge, on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 surrounded by her family. Free at last of any pain and suffering and together once again with family and friends in Heaven. We are so very grateful for the wonderful staff at Stirling Heights who loved and cared for her, we will always be eternally grateful. Predeceased by her husband Clare Lindsay (2004), daughter-in-law Pearl Lindsay (2012), mother Irene Jackson and brother-in-law William Pumfrey. She will be sadly missed by daughter Darlene Robinson and her husband Allan (Cambridge), and son Ron Lindsay (Barrie). Grandchildren Jason Robinson and his wife Kim Barnes-Robinson (Cambridge), Jaclynn Henry and her husband John (Prescott), Bryce Lindsay and Sherry Henderson (Orillia) and Sarah Lindsay (Toronto). Great-grandchildren Alexander and Andrew Robinson and Alana Barnes (Cambridge), Audrey and Olivia Henry (Prescott). Sister-in-law Olive Pumfrey. Laurene was a member of St. Andrew's Galt Presbyterian Church. In her earlier years, she enjoyed playing bridge with life-long friends plus family camping at Sauble Beach for many years. She had been employed at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital until retiring. There will be no funeral home visitation as cremation has taken place. Laurene's family invites relatives and friends to celebrate her life at a Memorial Service to be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 1 p.m. at St. Andrew's Galt Presbyterian Church, 130 Victoria Ave., Cambridge, followed by a reception at the church, with Rev. Mark Gaskin officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Corbett Funeral Home, Cambridge, 519-740-0669. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Andrew's Galt Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund would be greatly appreciated by the family.
