  Dies at Evanston, Illinois Mrs. E. E. Olp, a native of New Hamburg, passed away at Evanston, Ill., on Wednesday, following a protracted illness. She was the former Etta Ernst, daughter of the late Henry Ernst and Yetta Merner Ernst and spent her younger days in New Hamburg. Mrs. Olp was a graduate of North Central College, Naperville, Ill., and since her marriage in 1908 to Mr. Olp, had resided in Evanston. Her husband predeceased her in 1928. A brother, Herbert, also predeceased her. Mrs. Olp was a frequent visitor to her native town and had many friends here who regret to learn of her passing. Mrs. Lafayette Hostetler of New Hamburg is a cousin of the deceased. The funeral will be held at Evanston this Friday afternoon. New Hamburg Independent, December 17, 1954
