  BEECHEY, Marcella Lidwina (Hergott) It is with sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at her residence. Marcella was born in Waterloo 87 years ago and resided in Elmira. She was a daughter of the late Peter and Emma Elizabeth (Walz) Hergott and grew up in Waterloo. Predeceased by her loving husband and best friend, John L. Beechey, who died December 21, 2005. They were married July 3. 1943. Loving and cherished mother, grandmother and great-grandmother of Wilbert (Bert) and his wife Mildred (McCleave) of Ottawa and his children, Heath and his wife Susan (Wastell) and their children, Morgan, Macey, Rogan and Reed of Kemptville; Tara of Ottawa and Chey and her husband Fred Anderson and their sons Kyle and Tyson of Ottawa; Gerard (Gerry) and his wife Phyllis (Woods) of St. Thomas and their children Shayne and his wife Caryn (Hobbs) and their children Taylor and Cassandra of Burlington; Amber and her husband Brian Pickard and their children Madison and Hunter of Michigan; Tessa and her husband David McFadden and their children Riley and Keeley of Caledonia; and Tyler and his wife Barbie (Tamming) and their children Connor and Lucas of Caledonia; Cecilia of Waterloo; Joanne and her husband Dennis Reid of Kitchener and their children Natasha and her husband Mike Magon and their daughter, Alexandra of Kitchener, Tanya and her husband Rob Owens and their children Sasha, Katelyn, Nisha and Liam of London;. and Derek and his wife Tracy (McCulloch) and their children, Nathan, Andy and Indica of Drayton; Mary Jane and her husband Robert Yaeger of Elmira; John (Jack) of RR 1, Waterloo and his children Miranda and her son Damien; Jordan and his wife Jenna (van Amerom) of Kitchener and Rachel; Carleen and her husband Michael Van Dam and their daughters Emily and Elizabeth of Waterloo; and Geoffrey and his wife Jean (Lem) and their sons Daren and Kevin of Etobicoke; also survived by her sister, Florence (James) Caskenette of Walkerton (formerly of Preston) and her brother, Raymond and his wife Mildred (Frank) of Maryhill. Predeceased by her son, Joey; her grandson, Zachary Gerard Van Dam; her great-granddaughter, Emma Katherine Hobbs-Beechey; her daughter-in-law, Florence (Dube) and her brothers, Wilbert Nicholas, Gerard Albert and Carl Jerome and his wife Frances (Hoffarth). Marcella was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church and the Catholic Women's League in Elmira. She was a member of the Ontario Genealogy Society, Region of Waterloo Historical Society and Woolwich Historical Society. She spent many enjoyable hours researching family histories. The family will receive friends and relatives at Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur Street South, Elmira (519) 669-2207 on Friday, December 8, 2006 from 2: 30-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be offered Friday evening at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Teresa of Avila RC C'hurch, 19 Flamingo Drive, Elmira on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 10: 30 a.m. with Father, Jim Valk CR officiating, followed by interment in St. Teresa RC Cemetery, RR 1.
