  Mrs. Martha Pfanner, 85, died today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Hammer, 90 Stirling Ave. Born April 1, 1860, in Wilmot Township she was a daughter of Jacob Forler and Marie Derbecker. The late Mrs. Pfanner was a regular attendant of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church and a member of the Ladies Aid Society. Her husband Moses Pfanner, predeceased her 50 years ago. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Clara Doering of Philipsburg and Mrs. John Hammer of Kitchener. Five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive. One son Edward died five years ago and a daughter, Mrs. Theo. Schmidt predeceased her ten years. Remains are resting at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home until Monday morning when the removal will be made to the residence of her daughter, 90 Stirling Ave., where a private funeral service at St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery. Rev. John Schmieder will officiate. Sympathy of friends will be accepted without flowers. Kitchener Daily Record 24 Feb 1945
