  Obituary for Mervyn Claude Gottfried Gottfried, Mervyn Claude (February 14, 1932 - April 25, 2016) Papa passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Hospital on Monday, April 25, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine (nee Hartman) for 45 years. Loving father of Paul (Heidi), Gail (Robin) and Stephen. Proud grandfather of Carolyn (2010) and her husband Mark, and Eric. Dear brother of Irene, Emery, Bill and the late Allan, Harvey, Norvell, Doug, Stewart and Mildred. Papa lived an active life with his family and enjoyed fishing. His favourite playground was located in Southampton, Ontario. Mervyn's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2016 and from 9-9:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment Woodland Cemetery.
