  CORRIGAN, Muriel Gladys (nee Witzel) - After a brief illness at KW Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Gerald (1989). Cherished sister of Alice Reibling of Tavistock. Survived by sisters-in-law, Winnifred and Beatrice Witzel. Predeceased by sisters, Inez, Iva Chapman; and brothers, Verlus and Morgan; and by brothers-in-law, Oliver Reibling, Bertram Chapman; and by a nephew, Robert Reibling. Will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and also by her friend, Lincoln Keller. Muriel was born in Wilmot Centre on January 3, 1924 to the late William Witzel and Viola Hillgartner. She was a longtime and faithful member of St. Louis RC Church. She retired from Uniroyal Ltd. where she worked for 37 years. Muriel was a member of the Uniroyal Rubber club. Her many passions were traveling and she was also an avid card player. The family will receive friends at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street West, Kitchener, today (Friday) from 12-2 p.m. Service will follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. Interment, Memory Gardens (Breslau). Following the interment, reception will be held at the Ratz-Bechtel Family Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated. The Record Newspaper 3 Oct 2008
