    • Robert Blake Foreman Passes

      Robert Blake foreman of Colquhoun Street, Ayr, died Wednesday, July 24, 1968, at the Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital in his 84th year. Born at Bright Ontario, on July 4, 1885, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William foreman. Mr. Foreman lived in Bright in his younger days and had been a resident of Ayr for the past 50 years. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway as a section hand for more than 40 years, retiring in ?. He was an adherent of Knox United Church. Mr. Foreman was survived by his wife, the former Bertha Williams; four daughters, Mrs. Norman (Jean) Groggins of Staples, Mrs. Max (Doris) Pickersgill of Brantford, Miss Ruth Foreman and Mrs. Erwin (Marjorie) Lisso of Ayr, two sons, William of Ayr and Robert in British Columbia and one brother, James of Bright. There are 27 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Helen, two brothers, and three sisters.

      The funeral

      Funeral service was held from Coutts & Son Funeral Home, Galt, on Saturday with Mr. Elvy of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Kitchener, officiating. Burial was made in ther Ayr Cemetery. Pallbearers were Leslie McDonald, Robert Barrie, Charles Legere, James Lewis, Russell Eaton and William Hall.
